Change of scenery !
The Dorney to Putney row took place one week later than intended (27/28 June) and stopped at Chiswick after we got held up for an hour at Richmond Lock. Nevertheless, a good time was had by all, with nothing more serious than a few blisters and a touch of sunburn. Pictures to follow. |

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the next beginners course to September - apologies to those who were looking forward to it. Email us now to reserve a place - the sessions will probably be on Sunday afternoons with a few on Wednesday evenings if it is light enough. |

Summer Rowing Sessions
As well as our regular sessions on Saturday mornings at 11 a.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m., once the clocks change we should be able to start evening rowing on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. We have a beginners course starting on 15th April, so please make them welcome, and once they get going join in and row with them, since your experience will help them to learn! |

Hide A'Wey
The Weyfarers summerhouse has suffered during the cold weather - due to a burst pipe one of the kitchen walls got soaked with water and the units have fallen off. We will be organising a work day in the Spring to replace the units, touch up the paintwork and generally spruce things up. Be prepared! |
We are one of just a handful of recreational
and touring rowing clubs in the UK, formed for and by people who
think rowing should be FUN!
- No time to train 8 days a week?
- Love rowing, but want to have a life as well?
- Never tried rowing, but want to have a go?
Then maybe YOU should try recreational rowing!!
Don't get us wrong - we don't just paddle around. We aim to
improve our technique and get fit, just like our more competitive
friends. But our horizons are wider.....
Here's what we do:
- Regular rowing sessions throughout the year on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 a.m.,
followed by drinks in the bar. Summer evening sessions by arrangement.
- Beginners' rowing courses, aimed at
mature people and families
- NEW! Wednesday morning ladies rowing sessions at 10 a.m.
- One or two day rowing tours in the
UK
- International tours, in conjunction
with our friends in other countries
